A legacy of compassion, service, and sustainable transformation.
The Victoria & James Akinleye Foundation was established in 2015 by Pastor Yemisi Wole-Akinleye in loving memory of her late husband, James Akinleye. What began as a small family initiative to support widows and orphans in Ibadan, Nigeria, has blossomed into a registered nonprofit organization with operations across Nigeria and Canada.
James Akinleye was a man of deep faith and compassion who believed that true wealth is measured by the lives we touch. After his passing, Pastor Yemisi honoured his legacy by formalizing their family's charitable work into a structured foundation that could reach more communities and create lasting change.
Today, the Foundation serves as the humanitarian arm of a broader vision that includes Wakati Isegun (Hour of Victory) — a prophetic prayer and teaching platform that has touched thousands of lives globally.
To empower communities across Nigeria and Canada through sustainable development, education, and compassionate service, creating lasting change for generations to come. We believe that every person deserves access to opportunity, dignity, and hope.
A world where every person has access to opportunity, dignity, and the resources needed to thrive — regardless of where they were born or the circumstances they face. We envision communities that are self-sustaining, educated, and empowered.
Dedicated leaders committed to transforming lives across borders.
We lead with empathy, meeting people where they are with dignity and respect.
We operate with full transparency and accountability in every decision we make.
We believe lasting change must be community-led and community-owned.
We build programmes that continue to thrive long after our direct involvement ends.
We are always looking for partners, volunteers, and donors who share our vision of a more equitable world.
